PAYMENT
Fees

Your psychiatric care will be provided by Dr. Hutchinson, not a junior colleague, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant. All fees are payable at the time of service. Patients with out-of-network health plan benefits and medical savings accounts may be able to obtain partial reimbursement by submitting their statements.

Dr. Hutchinson's fee is $240 for each session of up to 45 minutes. The first session for adult patients is scheduled for 90 minutes at a fee of $600.
​
Charges for professional time between sessions include late cancellations and no shows, requests for prescriptions between appointments, multiple phone calls and portal messages, and report preparation.
Paying for Your Care
Out of Network Benefits
​
Your health plan, or the health plan you choose in the future, may include payment for physicians who are not "in network". While these services are usually paid at a lower rate, you may be able to receive payment directly from your health plan for the care you have obtained and paid for in the office. Check your benefits for details.
Medical Savings Accounts
You or your employer may have funded a health savings account, often with a debit card. These funds can be used your treatment costs.
Deductibles
In recent years, more patients and families are faced with paying for thousands of dollars of care before their health plan begins paying for services. You may find that most of your costs are out-of-pocket even with in-network services.

Dr. Hutchinson has participated in most commercial managed care companies since the beginning of her career. But physicians' contracts also bring extra regulation and administrative burdens.

This practice provides a more personalized experience. Together with Dr. Hutchinson, you can review your needs and partner in your treatment with fewer distractions.

Credit card payment is working well through secure online payment. You will have the option of keeping the information on file for future charges. Let me know through Elation Passport if you need a more detailed invoice in addition to the automatic credit card receipt.
Cash and checks are also accepted.
